Recent events | |
|
So there have been quite a few changes and updates recently, and still a few more to come. First, the forums have been redone somewhat, they still have to be re-organised, but they now have slick skins which look great! Second, the website has reached its final host (least hope), for now, so we wont have any more down time in that area, i hope :) (This may be the reason you could not view it yesterday). Third, the new chaos-world realm has been launched! Its still very young, and has alot to be done on it, but im sure it will grow!. It is an instant level 55 realm with 2X rates, aimed at eliminating the grind of leveling to the late game, so that you can get straigh into raiding and late game instances - Where the real fun begins. PS: More info on this realm will be put on the site later PSS: The online player bars etc are broken at the moment.. will be fixed eventually :) |

S4, T6, and extra sunwell gear | |

Season 4, tier 6 belts boots and bracers, and missing sunwell gear has been added to the av realm because of you guys voting so much! Well done. You can thank the following people: 1): Myself, for doing the work. 2): Classic for updating fun server's item table, which i stole the missing items from :D 3): Kneegrow, for kicking me in the ass to do it, and for doing some of the work, even if it was not used. Downtime, server transfer etc. | |

Alot of stuff has happened in the lats 24 hours, resulting in down time more then once. The first downtime was the planned prune, this lasted 30 mins and all went 100%, and the db is alot faster and smaller now. The second was the login server + site downtime while it was moved across to a different dedi, this downtime was only 1 hour, but depending on when your dns updated, it could of been more. The third, unplanned downtime occured while i was asleep. This happened when i .rarred something on the server up, without checknig how much free space was left. The result, the site + forums etc used up all the free space, resulting in 0bytes free, and a crashed server. This downtime lasted around 5-6 hours i hear. Sorry about this.. Anyways, thats all the news for now... There will be another planned moved of the webserver in the next few days, which will also result in another DNS update. |

Mass prune | |
|
There will be a mass prune of all fun server chars under the level of 16 on friday. (12th, GMT). If you have a char that will be affected by this, it is a good idea to level it up to at least level 16 now. This will not take more then 10-20 minutes to do. So don't complain if you lose a banker char or something from this, we are giving you a weeks notice! This prune will greatly improve server performance, since we have never pruned before, there are over 85,000 characters under this level, and they are slowing down startup. There may be a prune of AV as well, but i will post more details on that if i decide to do so |

Fun moved | |
|
The fun server has been successfully moved to its own dedicated server, this will increase performance on it drastically. Crashes on fun server will be worked on now and it will eventually be stabilized completely. The next move will be for the login server and website onto a Linux based dedicated server in order to optimize the website during peak times. This will be done in the upcoming days presumably. If there are any issues on the fun server that have occurred since the move, let a gm know so they can notify me. |

Av donations are back online, after being down for the past week. We have had some paypal issues, but we believe they are resolved, so feel free to donate. PS: There will be a lump sum of vote points given out ot everyone at the end of this month, since we have stayed within the top ten, and gotten past spot #8!
